DESCRIPTION
In this sequel to Mr. Do! you are once again in control of a little clown. This time, instead of digging tunnels in an orchard, you patrol a castle — hence, the title of the game. As you walk and climb around the six floors, all of which are interconnected by ladders, you must use your hammer to knock out floor stones. Your mission is to get rid of unicorns that roam the hallways of your castle home. You do this by positioning yourself on a floor above a wandering unicorn and hammering a stone until it falls on top of its head.
Some of the floor stones are marked with cherries. If you knock out all of the cherries, you move on to the next level. Killing all the unicorns is another way to complete a level. Some sections of the floor are marked with a skull on either side. When both skull stones are knocked out, all the between stones fall. This is a good way to kill multiple unicorns.
Three of the floor blocks in each level contain keys. If you can manage to knock out all three, a door at the top of the castle will open and reveal a shield. If you grab the shield, the unicorns turn into Alphamonsters. These creatures will run from Mr. Do! and can be killed with his hammer. Another way to kill them is by flattening them with floor stones. Killing an Alphamonster will net you a letter, five of which can gain you an extra life. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
