DESCRIPTION
Namco's mobile edition of the original Mr. Do features both a true-to-the-original recreation of the arcade game and an updated version, with sharp, colorful graphics, that retains the play style and pacing of the original. Similar to the action in the more famous Dig Dug, players control Mr. Do, a clown who digs tunnels through a large underground area that takes up most of the screen. Mr. Do's stated goal is to collect cherries for his pie-throwing act, but there are plenty of opportunities to earn bonus points and extra lives, by being in the right place at the right time to collect special items that appear briefly then disappear. There are also enemies to avoid, or to fight back by throwing a bouncy clown nose at them. With a little luck, enemies can also be squished away, by undermining items to fall down on them as they chase Mr. Do up a tunnel. Arcade veterans should dig the authentic emulation of the coin-op classic, and players of all backgrounds can appreciate the cartoonish graphical update. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
