DESCRIPTION
Vastly simplified from the original Exidy arcade classic, the Atari 2600 edition of Mouse Trap lowers the difficulty level of the game by eliminating the color-coded doors. In this version, the action button functions similarly to the "turn" function in Tetris — you may have to hit it a few times to achieve the desired combination of open and closed doors. The rest of the game remains the same as the original, though out of necessity it's not as colorful or pleasing to the eye (truth be told, it resembles 2600 Pac-Man more than anything). But don't write the 2600 version of Mouse Trap off completely — it's handy for those who haven't quite gotten the hang of the color-coding scheme of the doors in the arcade game. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
