DESCRIPTION

Following the schedule of the specialty racing league's 2008 season, MotoGP 08 presents 18 rounds of souped-up motorbike racing through authentic re-creations of 16 different European, Asian, and Australian venues. Players can create custom rider characters to race as in the championship circuit, or take the roles of their favorite real-life MotoGP racers, including the United States' Nicky Hayden, Italian Valentino Rossi, and Shinya Nakano of Japan, as well as 2007's reigning champ, Australia's Casey Stoner.

As did earlier games in the series, MotoGP 08 aims to present dedicated fans of the MotoGP circuit with an accurate simulation of the annual super-bike competition, using real-world track condition data, motorcycle specifications from top manufacturers, and a specially developed physics model to create realistic racing challenges. For the rest of us, MotoGP 08 also offers an extended "Arcade" mode, with easier control and more forgiving physics for fast-paced, knuckle-bumping races that reward risky riding. ~ T.J.
