DESCRIPTION
Flashback to 1944, the Nazi led Axis powers begin winning every conflict. With swift, brutal and unexpected force, they begin taking back all lost territory. The allies, unable to stop them and faced with a dwindling number of soldiers, are quickly defeated.
At first, an uneasy peace exists, punctuated only by bizarre climate anomalies. Years pass, and storms and natural disasters of all kinds grow steadily more frequent. Jurgen Mortyr, commander of a military science program, believes he has discovered the truth. The Nazis discovered time travel, and used it to bring back a super weapon from the future, which allowed them to win the war. This, in turn, caused the climate destruction that is occurring in the future.
Left with few options, Sebastian Mortyr, Jurgen's son, is sent into the past to eliminate the Nazi scientist who created time travel, and thus, correct history.
Mortyr is an attempt to revisit WWII, first-person style. The game consists of approximately 18 WWII European levels, and 11 that take place in a hypothetical, Nazi-dominated future. In campaign play, you assume the role of Sebastian Mortyr, commando gone time traveler. Your mission? Fix the course of history.
To put the timeline right, you have an assorted variety of eight WWII period weapons, and five futuristic ones. Be prepared to use them all on half of the Nazi regime before the mission is completed!
Multi-player support is available for up to 16 players via IPX and TCP/IP. There are 10 multi-player maps available, five deathmatch, five cooperative and one capture the flag. ~ The Jaded Critic, All Game Guide
