Presentation: 8/10
Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (for the Xbox 360) is loaded with three of the best games from the Mortal Kombat franchise. A nice menu is available to choose from either of the Mortal Kombat games available.
Graphics: 7.5/10
Featuring the majority of characters with the same sprite animations available to the original versions there is no real improvement at all though this was done on purpose, obviously, to imitate the 90's classics.
Sound: 8.5/10
The sounds are tremendous as they are remastered and in full stereo, however, the only issue is that the sounds can be delayed if a fatality is initiated - this has been a problem with past versions of the game.
Gameplay: 8/10
The game can be very challenging. The AI is extremely difficult just like original versions of the games. There appears to be a slight glitch where if you comfortably win your first couple of rounds the third will be extremely difficult, usually the character you play against is Jade. You must cycle through various characters to comfortably defeat her and once this has been completed you should be able to progress through the game with ease until you face Motaro - this is ofcourse UMK3.
Lasting Appeal: 7/10
Once the game has been clocked you most likely won't play it again. Fighting games are usually prone to being repetitive and unfortunately there is no change with this collectors item for hardcore Mortal Kombat fans.
Overall: 8/10
It's a great game and definitely worth the Xbox Live points. Achievements are quite challenging to unlock but can be very frustrating just like the overall gameplay. Overall, the game has no detailed improvement from its previous releases but still great to keep as a collectors item and for nostalgic playtime.”
