DESCRIPTION
Moon is a story-driven first-person shooter that takes place in a mysterious alien compound, deep beneath the surface of the moon. The action plays out in the upper screen. Looking and aiming is done with a thumb on the touch-screen, and strafing is done with the D-pad or action buttons, depending on the set-up for left- or right-handed players. In the year 2058, a mysterious hatch is discovered during the construction of a new lunar base. As part of the team sent to investigate, the player's character soon finds his companions executed and himself alone against an unknown enemy. The tight corridors of the subterranean complex are infested with a bizarre variety of hostile robots and alien life forms. Tension builds and releases in a burst of blaster fire at surprise attacks from the shadows. Boss encounters add a twist to the action, and there are shooting-and-driving sequences in a souped-up moon buggy. The player's commander pops in on the communications link at times, usually to offer advice about the current situation or to define a new objective in the continuing storyline. Moon was developed by Renegade Kid, maker of the creepy survival horror-shooter Dementium: The Ward. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

“I had high hopes for Moon, for some reason. Wait, I know the reason: it was being positioned as a portable shooter with intriguing mystery/sci-fi elements. Sadly, it feels more like a tech demo than...”

“An excellent FPS game, though it has very little replay value. A good deal at it's current price of $20, and an excellent deal to gamefly/borrow from a friend for a few weeks.”

“Another great first-person game from the makers of Dementium, this one is really more of an adventure than a pure shooter, there are some interesting puzzles and hidden areas that require a bit of thought to pass. The little droid is a nice touch.”

“Playing through the second major enemy base level. Still having fun and solving a lot of puzzles.”

“A solid and stunning adventure FPS game set on the moon. It manages to capture much of what made the Metroid Prime serious so much fun. 60 FPS, vehicle sections and a portable droid all make for a diverse and often intense game.”
