DESCRIPTION

MindRover: The Europa Project features an innovative blend of deep, meticulous strategy and fast, real-time action. The game's premise is believable enough; the player takes the role of a researcher who is stationed on Europa, one of the larger moons of Jupiter. Inhabitants of this barren, monotonous environment have taken to entertaining themselves by re-programming the station's robots for their amusement.

Players get to choose the arena for their robot competitions. Battles can take place in the halls of the research station, through large laboratories, or out in the open on the surface of the icy moon. Starting with a basic robot design, players add the components they think will be most useful in the upcoming contest, choosing from over 50 devices and contraptions to augment performance and provide special abilities. Next, the robot is "wired," as players actually program their machines' AI through a graphical drag-and-drop interface.
