DESCRIPTION
An unreleased prototype, Atari's adaptation of its own Millipede (the sequel to the arcade hit Centipede is reproduced faithfully in game play, if not necessarily in fine graphical detail. As with the arcade game, Millipede puts players in a limited zone on the bottom of the screen — this time given a special tint so they know how far they can move — blasting at pesky multi-segmented bugs, spiders, scorpions and other six (and eight) legged freaks. Like Super Pac-Man, Millipede seems to be at a finished or near-finished state, and was probably shelved only due to the industry-wide video game crash of the 1980s. It's a faithful port of the coin-op, and like Atari 5200 Centipede before it, is best played with the trakball controller. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
