DESCRIPTION
Metroid: Zero Mission is an enhanced remake of 1987's Metroid on NES. The graphics have been redesigned to reflect the visual style introduced in Metroid Fusion, with Samus also possessing the same advanced moves in her repertoire. Encased in her classic red-and-yellow cybernetic space suit, Samus can now explore Planet Zebes while climbing hand-over-hand across ledges, by performing super speed dashes, or using other techniques. Instead of the original Metroid's password system, players can automatically save their progress to battery backup. Other additions to the NES game include cinematic cut-scenes, different boss characters, and entirely new areas to explore. Once again players will be able to interface with the GameCube version in order to unlock various bonus features. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

It's a re-imagining of the original Metroid, and it adds two new areas, a bunch of new bosses, a map system, a better soundtrack, some new upgrades and some other polishing. It also cleans up the areas so it doesn't feel like theres so much dead space in the tunnels, and makes it a little easier to navigate. ”

This was much more fun for me that Fusion. The developers included a whole bunch of ways to get things out of order, which is what I love about Metroid. Get this game. So much fun.”

“So, I've also been playing Metroid Fusion, and now Metroid Zero Mission, but I've been doing so on my laptop. >.> I figured then since I'm doing it that way, I'd refrain from putting those...”

“A vast improvement over the first Metroid in every respect except length. It only takes about three hours to beat, especially with the added guidance and story-driven gameplay, but it's an essential replacement to the original.”
