DESCRIPTION

Metal Slug 2 features the same humor-rich, 2D platform shooting action as the original Metal Slug, but ups the ante in a number of ways; most prominently with the addition of two playable female characters: Eri and Fio. Other upgrades include more weapons (such as a laser gun and bazooka shells), six entirely new missions (such as in an Egyptian tomb and on a moving train), hyper-realistic gunfire and other sound effects, a larger array of vehicles (such as camels and planes), more gruesome deaths (watch the entrails fly!), numerous creative touches (such as obesity from eating too many food power-ups), more enemies (such as mummies and aliens) and better-defined, more colorful graphics. Gamers who love action combined with hysterical sight gags will definitely appreciate Metal Slug 2. It suffers from occasional slowdown, but is otherwise first-rate. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
