Metal Gear Solid: Rising (X360)

“This game being a Metal Gear, made me hesitate to even look at it after it was set as a hack and slash. Especially with a name like revengeance! Refrencing "Metal Gear 2 Snakes Revenge" is what came to mind. Which was horrible mind you... But, I was surprised at what I got from it! The story not only good, but it was detailed and set right. Gameplay was hard and skill based. Even though the camera worked against ya at times! It wasn't unbearable. In fact, I'd play this game on harder difficulties! I'm even on its highest difficulty to see how good I am on it. And its no joke on how hard it gets! The characters are well designed. Meeting the standards to its series nicely. And the main character Raiden, still mentions reverence of the main character in the Solid series, "Solid Snake" which made me appreciate how the guys at "Platinum Games" made this. It has a strong backbone thanks to "Hideo Kojima" and the team that created it! And all things Metal Gear are present, minus the immense cutscenes you had in prior games! So you will be playing more then watching yes. And still, it provides a strong sense of empathy to the characters! Making it easy to stay hooked once you play and take in what its about. And without need for the other games! So it works for newcomers and old. And iv played old and new Metal Gears. Cept for the Acid series... Point is, try and see how it is! And see how it is. Its not like "Metal Gear Solid" but it is a new series in the series, and deserves a glance and chance. So have at it! ”
