DESCRIPTION
You were on vacation on the planet Rhylanor, filming some of the ruins of a 300,000 year old defunct civilization known as the Ancient's (the purpose of which has been a puzzle to modern experts) when the site mysteriously and unexpectedly erupted in activity. Ancient machines activate, the ground shakes and a weird slime-like substance begins to ooze out of long unused pipes. Later, in the comfort of your hotel room, you and your friends watch the film and see two mysterious beings rushing from the ruins. Then a news bulletin hits the screen and reports that the slime is toxic and deadly to everything in it's path. Anyone who can stop this flow and ultimately save the planet will receive a half-billion credit reward from the Imperial Government. It's a mission you can't resist and your journey of discovery to uncover what's behind the Ancient's secrets will lead you on an adventure of universal proportions.
MegaTraveller 2: Quest for the Ancients is a role-playing adventure featuring animation, combat and a huge universe to explore. Using graphics that were top of the line in 1992 at the time of release, MT2 utilizes most of the RPG standards, such as character development, weapons, armor, hundreds of explorable sites and a solid background story. ~ Michael L.
