DESCRIPTION
Mega Man II for mobile devices is a remake of Capcom's side-scrolling shooter sequel for the Nintendo Entertainment System, a definitive game in the landmark series. Players control the hero Mega Man as he jumps, climbs, and shoots through eight colorful platform-style levels, each stocked with enemies and guarded by a boss robot at the end. When Mega Man defeats a robot boss, he gains its special attack power. Each of the boss robots has a different special attack, and each is especially vulnerable to the attack of one of the others. Using the most effective weapon against each boss is by far the easiest way to win the fight, so deciding in which order to attempt the levels adds a layer of strategy and planning to the play of the game. Once all eight robots have been defeated, Mega Man can use all of their special attack powers to reach and defeat the game's final villain, Dr. Wily. The 2007 mobile edition of Mega Man II updates the 18-year-old 8-bit original with sharp, small-screen graphics and easy-to-use game-saving features. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
