The 2006 Game Boy Advance RPG gets updated and upgraded in Mazes of Fate DS. Once again players return to the land of Akhiel, where an epic struggle between the prophet Harlac and the evil Netherlings continues. Gamers can help fight the battle with seven different preset characters, or create a custom character to fight through more than 50 3D dungeons. There are 20 different skills from which players can choose, and the three different schools of magic provide more than 45 different spells. As gamers advance through the story they can find more than 500 unique items, while six secondary characters can join the fray to help players battle more than 60 different types of enemy. Aside from touch screen controls and more polished graphics, Mazes of Fate DS improves upon its predecessor by adding longer quests, 360 degree dungeon views, and four new characters. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
