DESCRIPTION
Partners in Time is a DS sequel to 2003's Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga for GBA. Once again, the platforming plumber brothers team up to take down a slew of Mushroom Kingdom miscreants, though action-RPG-style play. In this game, they will also twist time to team up with themselves — at a much younger age. Special battle sequences allow Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi to join together to pull off special four-plumber tours de force. In addition to the fighting, the game features conversation and exploration. The main action occurs in the upper screen, while the lower screen displays maps and other useful information. ~ All Game Guide

“Second game in the series and this time it's on the DS. Fending off alien invaders, traveling through time and soothing babies... wait, that last one didn't sound heroic. Anyway, PiT is here to offer us more of a fantastic game so let's see how it does, eh?
+ Superstar Saga was fantastic and this game built nicely upon those foundations and changing bits to keep it from becoming stale. Battle system, graphical style, humour, etc. Back and still fun to play.
+ The babies, time travel, battle items, etc. The changes are implemented really well.
- The game is linear... very much so in fact. This is especially bad due to the missed potential, especially with the time travelling and all.
- Where's all the hidden stuff? Beans have lost most of their use, no funny sidequests, no hidden moves, etc.
- The bad guys don't really fit the Mario universe...(remember: this game is older than Mario Galaxy).”

“I almost got put off today when two villians suddenly started talking in LEET speak. Good god, I wanted to hurl the DS across the room. The only way they redeemed themselves is after I defeated...”

“It was playable, it wasn't grand, it wasn't original. Play the first one, or the third one. This game felt like filler.”

“A follow-up to the GBA game, and is a decent RPG in it's own right. The only annoying part is how weak the babies are, especially when they are alone, but luckily this doesn't happen too often.”

“Absolutely hilarious Action-RPG starring the Mario Bros and their toddler counter-parts. If you like twitch style Action-RPGs, then you should definitely pick this up.”
