Mario is Missing! is a side-scrolling educational game that utilizes familiar Mario characters to help teach geography. In an unusual twist of fate, Mario has been kidnapped by Bowser. As Luigi, you must make your way through the world's major cities, collecting clues that will help you find your brother. In order to do so, you'll have to collect landmarks and answer geography-related questions. The graphics, which are rendered in the style of Super Mario World, suffer from a lack of detail and a washed-out color palette, but the overall result is about as good as can be expected from a non-Nintendo Mario title on the NES. Although it's an educational game, Mario is Missing! should hold the interest of younger players due to its relatively seamless combination of action and instruction. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
