DESCRIPTION
Eat, eat, eat! You must eat! Or, as the Italians say, "Mangià!" Your mother has been cooking all day making your favorite pasta dish and, as a good Italian boy, you want to make her happy by eating it all up. Unfortunately, she has made too much for you to handle. You can't eat it all, so you must sneak some to your pets while Mama isn't looking. Throw some pasta to Sergio the dog who walks through the kitchen every once in a while or Frankie the cat who appears in the window; they love to eat pasta as much as you do. Be careful not to let Mama catch you, or you'll be penalized.
Mangià takes place in a side view of the kitchen. You are seated at the kitchen table. Mama moves back and forth between the stove and the table, placing another dish of pasta every visit. The table can only hold nine plates of pasta. Any more and it collapses, taking away one chance.
To get rid of the pasta, you must first grab a piece by moving your joystick to the right and either eating it, throwing it to the cat, or throwing it do the dog. If you eat too much pasta (20 plates worth) your stomach will literally explode, costing you one chance.
If you throw your pasta and miss your pets, or if Mama sees you feeding the pets, you will be given three additional plates of pasta to deal with. The game ends when you have lost four chances. ~ Michael Schwartz/Joan Dykman, All Game Guide
