The Core Set: Eighth Edition introduces players new and old to the world of Magic: The Gathering. In addition to two starter decks, players receive a 14-card booster back to expand their arsenal, a premium card, two play guides, a rulebook, and an online user manual. Also included is a full version of Magic: The Gathering Online — Version 2.0 along with a set of tutorials on the same CD-ROM disc. As an added bonus, players automatically receive credit for the digital versions of all the cards included in this edition, allowing them to start competing online with the new changes made to the game's rules. Version 2.0 expands the original release in several key areas.
