One of the most important sports franchises in the history of home video gaming suits up for play on a brand new console system with this release of Madden NFL 2002 for the GameCube. Many well-learned conventions and well-loved aspects of the long-lived Madden series remain in place as the title comes to the 128-bit generation Nintendo console for the first time. As usual, the game is licensed to include all the teams and players from the most recent (2000-2001) season and commentary is delivered by perennial hosts John Madden and Pat Summerall.
