DESCRIPTION

Madden Football makes its Game Boy Color debut with an official NFL license, a first for the handheld series. All 31 teams from the 1999 season are available to play as or against in four different modes: Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, and Overtime. More than 150 offensive and defensive plays are included to help players lead their team to the Super Bowl.

Two audibles can be assigned before the coin toss, allowing players to change their play at the line of scrimmage. Substitutions are also permitted during the game, and offensive plays can be flipped to keep defenders honest. Quarter lengths can be set to 5, 10, or 15 minutes, with the default being 10. Both season and playoff progress can be resumed via passwords provided at the end of each game. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
