DESCRIPTION

The most recognizable franchise in video game sports returns for a 20th season of gridiron action in Madden NFL 09. The constant tweaking of the series continues as well, with the "09" entry unveiling an assortment of new features and updated animations. The new Family Play feature incorporates one-button controls and assisted player movements so gamers of every age can compete at the same level as seasoned veterans. Franchise Mode has been updated as well, with a new point system that rewards gamers for things like winnings records, player development, increased attendance, and solid draft picks. The Fantasy Mode introduced in Madden NFL 08 returns with three new league champions, and gamers will have to overcome each squad's unique skills to reach title games held at the new Champions Stadium.

The gameplay has been bolstered by new animations, including the ability to fluidly string together multiple jukes and direct receivers while scrambling. Quarterback escapability has also been enhanced by the new Avoidance Stick, which gives the QB the option of fleeing pressure by scrambling in four different directions. Players who enjoy accumulating stats, or those who just don't have enough time to play full games, can now make use of the new "SuperSim" feature to simulate single plays, quarters, halves, or entire games. And those looking for a more immersing, RPG-like experience can once again live the life of a professional athlete in Superstar Mode, where earning points in practice helps players advance up the depth chart and reach contract goals. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

Looks like The Bears need to find themselves a new middle linebacker, double quick time since their star Brian Urlacher is essentially done for the season, and rumor is that they are looking at Derrick Brooks. Derrick Brooks is a good pick – he's known as a very competent linebacker and is in fact a Super Bowl winner with his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (Tampa Bay triumphed over the Oakland Raiders in 2003 – dubbed the "Pirate Bowl.") Brooks was released by his team after the 2008 season, in which they failed to reach the playoffs. Replacing Urlacher is not an easy task, but a player as skilled as Derrick Brooks is possibly worth some payday loans to pick up. ”

Happy Memorial Day Gamers from Bigprowl. I thought it was only right to day tribute to one of the pryde's lost soldiers. This email is dedicated to the memory of Lucy "the loser" Nealy. Once upon a time lucy had mediocre, average at best game when it came to madden. He was somewhat of a Ps2 Predator preying on the likes of meko, and booty ro. But eventually everyone is brought to justice. 5 star general BIGPROWL has been catching this weasel sneaking online trying to find kids between the age of 12 and 16 to play with. Little did he know I had a lucy tracking device installed in my ps2 to give off a signal everytime he gets online. Of couse once I challenged the snake he couldnt refuse my challenge in fear of catching cowardnititis. In these death matches I have disasembled Lucy "the loser" nealy at least 20 times straight. And to add injury to insult I have done with the Buccaneers everytime. I'm not talking about last minute heroics people, I mean blowouts. Big blowouts. It saddens me to say that Lucy's madden game is officially dead. And I killed it, somebody had to do it, we were all sick tired of seeing that same ol dance called the "donovan shuffle" so gaines adams broke his legs. Now lucy can retire into the sunset be a father and a husband, or mother and a wife "boogie run it" and leave the Gridiron to those who still have something in the Tank. salute”
