The forces of evil have invaded Earth in the year 2112. Only one hope remains, and that is you, the Mach Rider. You must drive your armed motorcycle through dangerous roads, avoiding obstacles and taking out enemies with your machine gun. Released as an NES launch title, Mach Rider is one of the fastest 8-bit racing games ever made. When you're in fourth gear and have the pedal to the medal, you're moving so fast you can barely stay on the track. Even at this breakneck speed, the ride stays surprisingly smooth. Not only is Mach Rider fast, but it's also endlessly challenging. All the enemy vehicles look exactly the same, but they are formidable opponents. It's a total blast to watch for them in your rearview mirror, let them pass, and then blow them away.
