In Revolution's Lure of the Temptress, players take the role of a reluctant hero, Diermot, after he survives an onslaught of demon-like creatures by falling off his horse and being knocked unconscious. The third-person point-and-click adventure continues in a humorous tone, with Diermot wandering the various locales, talking with NPCs, collecting inventory items, and solving fairly simple puzzles as he tracks down Selena, an alluring enchantress behind the mayhem besetting the medieval-like town of Turnvale.
Aided by a horde of Skorl who have inundated the town, Selena has wickedly struck down the King's men and is bent on wreaking havoc in the kingdom. Only Diermot can track her down, discover her motives, and put an end to the maliciousness, but not before meeting a huge cast of characters who, contrary to the norm for action/adventures in 1992, don't stay in one place for very long. Lure of the Temptress features Revolution's proprietary "Virtual Theatre" engine, which imbues NPCs with wanderlust and much less predictability than similar games at the time of release. ~ Michael L.
