DESCRIPTION
The sequel to the PSP's critically acclaimed puzzle game of 2005 continues the rectangle-building action found in its predecessor. Once again, players guide falling squares consisting of four colored blocks in an attempt to create same-colored rectangles. As completed rectangles are wiped clear from the playing field, unmatched blocks stack together and must quickly be removed before they reach the top of the screen. While each level still features its own theme and sound effects, Lumines II now includes licensed music and videos that play along in the background. Players can watch videos from such artists as Beck ("Black Tambourine"), Gwen Stefani ("Hollaback Girl"), Missy Elliot ("Lose Control"), Fatboy Slim ("Gangster Trippin'"), Black Eyed Peas ("Pump It"), and more. Ad-hoc support is also included for two-player action, with an assortment of battle modes available for head-to-head competition. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Lumines 2 may seem strange when you first start playing, but I'd estimate that after 5 hours your mind like so many will begin falling into mental grooves as you recognize patterns and attach responses to them. I've played 80+hrs, still improving.”
