LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias (WII)

“This game was a perfect sequel to the original. It fixed a lot of the issues with finding your way around as well as introduced a wider cast of characters that served a number of purpose without overstaying their welcome.

The new winter environments stole the show for me personally. This wasn't just a simple palette swap though. Sure, snowflakes replaced leaves, ferns, cherry blossoms, and ice where there was once water, but the level designs and puzzles you had to solve were incredibly clever, thought out, and rewarding.

Definitely a stellar example of what a rather relaxing side scrolling/platformer game can still accomplish through a downloadable service in addition to making motion controls viable and meaningful. ”
