DESCRIPTION

A great tribe of technologically advanced immortals known as Aeons gifted their knowledge to six fledgling races, allowing each group to disperse and colonize the cosmos. Years of continued expansion came to an abrupt halt when a great cataclysm essentially ended contact among the races, and by that point the Aeons had slipped into historical obscurity. But the great immortals have returned to rebuild the lost empire, and its up to players to help spawn a new era of exploration.

Lost Empire: Immortals lets gamers take control of any one of the six main races and explore an expansive galaxy full of more than 5,000 stars, while 28 minor civilizations provide further variety to the interstellar communities. Strategists can make 150 technological advances across 11 scientific categories for each race, and eight different types of spaceship are available for missions involving exploration, reconnaissance, and planetary invasion. Up to ten players can go online and participate in the turn-based action, and special attributes are available to ensure that no two players are using identical races. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
