DESCRIPTION

Developed by Pocket Express, Lode Runner: The Legend Returns is a Palm OS recreation of the original PC title of the same name. As gold miner, Jake Peril, players find themselves trapped within a series of labyrinthine tunnels from which they must escape — but not before they acquire untold riches. Armed with his trusty shovel and aided by implements such as bombs and keys, Jake must traverse each area in search of the gold to be found therein. Resting between him and fabulous wealth is a cabal of sinister monks whom he must avoid, or if need be, dispatch. If the situation demands it, Jake can dig a pit that will trap and kill any hapless monk that should fall into it. Once all the gold in a level has been collected, an exit will materialize through which the player can escape and advance to the next level.

Throughout the adventure, your exploits will accrue score, with the ultimate aim being to achieve as high a score as possible. Lode Runner: The Legend Returns features 150 levels while also providing support for players to edit and design their own levels that can in turn be played and traded with friends.
