Live Free or Die Hard: The Mobile Game is based on the movie of the same title, the fourth in the Bruce Willis action film series. Players take the role of John McClane in the game, to embark on a mission to save his daughter from a brilliant but twisted computer hacker. Most of the action involves shooting and fist fighting through indoor levels, battling past an almost endless stream of thugs protecting the villainous mastermind, and occasionally using set piece objects to cause big explosions that clear the screen or open up a new path. The game incorporates several of the one-liners McClane says in the movies; lighthearted and sarcastic remarks that belie the violence and danger of the situation at hand. Some levels involve driving sequences and bomb-diffusing mini-games, breaking up the side-scrolling shooter action. Yippee ki yay indeed! ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
