DESCRIPTION
Assemble a band, brick by colorful brick, in this family friendly version of Harmonix Music's popular rhythm series. Featuring the same level of customization and whimsical humor found in previous LEGO video games, LEGO Rock Band lets you create your own band members, roadies, and even managers from a variety of individual parts. Completing songs and rock power challenges earn you studs that can be used to unlock additional venues, characters, instruments, vehicles, and items for your personal "rock den." Challenges involve achieving such offbeat feats as summoning storms, demolishing skyscrapers, and defeating a giant octopus with the power of music.
As with earlier entries in the Rock Band series, gameplay involves using supported guitar, microphone, and/or drum peripherals to rhythmically follow a series of cascading, color-coordinated notes. A total of 45 songs are included on the disc, all performed by the original artists. Tracks include "Crocodile Rock", "Ghostbusters", "Summer of 69", "So What", "I Want You Back", "Free Fallin", and more. Owners can also download other songs designed for the Rock Band series as well as export the LEGO Rock Band track list to Rock Band 2 for use in all game modes. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Forced my way through more of the setlists and such to get towards my final trophy. Very nearly there, now. Probably will get it finished up tomorrow.”

“Augh, really hate going for this trophy, it's so agonizing, and I really hate that I put a restriction on myself to not play Rock Band 2 until I've finished this mess. I'm getting towards the end...”

“So, it looks like I do have to play those create a setlist/mystery setlists, but only to unlock more "event" things to play. Annoying, poorly paced. I have a feeling it was paced more for...”

“I rented it, exported the tracks, and played it for a bit. It's so cute! Apparently LEGO Rock Band has a story mode, so you can actually learn about your character and your band as you go along! The...”

“Struggled my way through more of the setlists, but this really seems unending, and this is unfortunately one of the major flaws of the game. Many of the game's "promotional setlists"...”

“Three words: Lego Spinal Tap.”

“Got through Lego's version of the Endless Setlist and decided to export the songs today, I'll still probably play this a few more times, there's still a few easy trophies I can get on it.”

“And then we hopped over to Lego Rock Band, because I haven't exported them yet, plus the Lego aesthetic is fun and enjoyable.”

“This game is seriously fun, I'm sure most people that bought it only wanted it for the exporting of songs, but really, pop the disc in and give it a try. Some of it is very silly, yes, but some of...”

“While I'm sure most people that bought it probably only did so to export it, it's actually quite fun on it's own, just because of all the craziness in it. What other game can you exorcise ghosts...”
