Silence signs, I can remember the night I created this character. Lying in bed awake, I jumped up...scared the wife terribly, raced to the computer and created Silence, the drakin. I had a prior character....this was all in February of 1992...for a couple of hours until I met Dolkun. Who can forget Dolkun! Mike. He took me to the training room, then got me killed in record time. Ah, just remembered...Prophet and his naginata. Groan. The lover in the game, Mishimoto?? Winter, Alex. Going past the idol, solving the riddle. Finally, the subway, yes, The Tomas Metro.

Just great memories revived. They are rushing through my mind, but enough for now.....

Take care, all.

It's really amazing how vivid the memories of this game still are. Truly a tribute to all of the amazing personalities that put their skills into the creation of this world, and to those who populated it.

I've played any number of other games over the years, but they kind of blur together. THIS game, however... I can still recall events from this place as if they happened yesterday (actually, I still have nightmares about some of them. Interestingly, most of the nightmares are associated with indignities inflicted upon me by Montar and Shanta. The goat dance springs to mind, as do the lingerie auctions.)

I'll never forget the Garin-Korazon insult fests, the auction where I managed to slip a red herring into the box of goodies without anyone except a GM noticing (it went for 19k, I believe) and, of course, the good times around the fountain.

I wish I still had my card collection of you all!

I played the Sheriff of LoFP for a few years, and even 'til the very end, I never knew who the members of the Thieves' Guild were from an IC or OOC perspective. I had my suspicions, and I kept copious notes on who was where when pockets were being picked to see if I could determine patterns. :) My one of RL friends, whom I got hooked on LoFP, ended up joining the Thieves' Guild, but I never knew!!!

It wasn't until after LoFP was long gone that he told me about his membership, and how the Guild operated the donation bowl in the poor temple. --The one that gave you the message "you feel good inside" whenever you sacrificed a gem to it, as if it was improving your alignment. The truth was, however, it never affected your alignment one iota, and the funds went to the Thieves' Guild! LOL. When he told me that, I almost peed my pants in laughter. All my characters had donated TONS of gems to that damn bowl, and to think Kryedar--The Sheriff of Fayd--had actually help FUND the thieves was just too ironic. :)

How I miss that game!
