DESCRIPTION

Based on the 1993 movie, Last Action Hero puts you in the shoes of Jack Slater as he punches an kicks his way through seven levels based on scenes from the film. As far as movie-to-game adaptations go, Last Action Hero is slightly better than most, but still worse than the average "normal" game. The graphics are reasonably detailed, but the characters are on the small side and their movements are stilted. Although Jack responds well to controller input, it's impossible to confront the wealth of enemies and projectiles the game throws at you without receiving too many cheap hits. Overall, Last Action Hero is an appropriately lackluster rendition of a poorly received movie. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
