Kid Radd: KRIME: Classic (PC)

“You are not alone. Generally Kid Radd as a comic was known mostly amongst pixel art and sprite art communities. Also the people following the Mother series note this game as having many references to Mother 1 and Earthbound--so that kind of got some of their attention.

This attempt at the game presented in the comic, was largely one of the most unique attempts. Even though the community had a large following, it was mostly destroyed after a set of spam bots came in and wiped out their forums and much of the Raddabase (their wiki and a play on the word Kid Radd Database)

The comic is noted for demonstrating many items presented in HTML5, as a reason for HTML5 to be a decent tool. This was about 2003, 2005 that it showed these mostly basing it on very poor HTML401, and Javascript tricks. There wasn't even much use for DOM or CSS in the version of the comic made by Dan R. Miller. Which is largely why it doesn't work in modern browsers as well. The main thing is noted for was being on of the first high scale animated comics (about 501 comics, plus various extras, and fan made sequences) on the web, that really did not rely on flash, much at all. In fact only one comic actually used flash, and that was the series finale Comic Number 501. This is the sort of thing that many HTML5 people tote about good things with what they are doing.

Generally, since this medium was _very_ unique at the time, one community member coined the phrase, "Dan-o-vision", and she pretty much doomed it from being called anything else.

Anyways a few of the Kid Radd Community still hold proud, and I am going to see about working on getting a version of the original comic (now known as Kid Radd: Wrath of CRystal) done in a form modern web browsers can handle. I'll also be looking at recovering as much of the wiki and forum content that was lost in this.

I mean there is a large history behind this game.

It should be noted that the games, while parodies of various real games, did not actually exist before the Kid Radd comic (only a few of these have been actually made. Such as Kid Radd, and Stack'em Blocks):

Generally it should be noted that while many people will argue to have it put on Wikipedia, the Wikipedia staff, at every time it has been put up, has flagged it as not noteworthy content--even if it is referenced in many other places on the site. Generally many have argued for it being noteworthy, however the staff largely have ignored them at every turn.

However Kid Radd _does_ appear on TvTropes and a few other comic specific wikis out there.”
