Keystone Kapers is virtually identical to its Atari VCS counterpart in terms of gameplay, obstacles, playfield layout, and so forth. However, the controls aren't as crisp, especially when trying to climb the escalators. Thankfully, highly repetitive and ultimately annoying music that plays throughout the game can be turned off. On a positive note, the background department store items such as dressers and picnic tables are actually recognizable, and the skyline has more detail. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
