DESCRIPTION
In the year 2056, a virus has infiltrated the Earth's defense systems, and Colonel O'Conner is charged with the task of destroying it. Sent into the mainframe as digital data, O'Conner takes the appearance of a Kabuki character, complete with a long mane of deadly red hair that he can whip around to attack enemies. Kabuki Quantum Fighter, while being of the formulaic platforming genre, does a good job of mixing the weapons and enemies of Batman with the wall-climbing, ninja-like acrobatics of Ninja Gaiden. Leaping over platforms, flipping from handhold to handhold, and jumping to fire at an enemy are all easily accomplished, which is a good thing considering the difficulty of some levels. O'Conner may look silly from an aesthetic standpoint, but the animation of his various movements — swinging from platforms, flipping, spinning, and whipping his hair — are all gracefully depicted. ~ Geoffrey Douglas Smith, All Game Guide
