Jumpman Junior contains 12 levels of bomb-disarming 2D action. The mission is to defuse bombs and collect massive amounts of points. To disarm a bomb, you must maneuver the character around various hazards and touch it. When this happens, points are added to the overall total shown at the bottom of the screen.
Levels contain a series of hazards and platforms. To reach certain platforms, you can either jump across holes or use ladders and ropes for climbing purposes. When the character falls into a hole or misses the platform, he'll fall to his death and a life will be lost. Hazards include electrical attacks and moving walls. There are times when electrical currents or bullets move down ladders and chase the bomb expert. When the character is touched by a hazard, he'll die. Each player will have four chances to defuse the bombs and collect points. When the game is over, the points earned are added to an initial-based high score list.
The menu screen contains eight game speeds and multiplayer options. This action title can be experienced in an alternating fashion with four players. Novices can select a slower speed while veterans can be handicapped with faster character and hazard movement. ~ Matthew House, All Game Guide
