DESCRIPTION
Jump Super Stars collects a variety of characters from popular anime franchises and combines them into one dueling game for solo or multiplayer enjoyment. This import features over 150 players that include Naruto Uzumaki, Goku, and Monkey D. Luffy. During the single-player journey, players can battle through each environment as they collect avatars for their personal card decks. After acquiring enough characters, gamers may compete in multiplayer action with friends in such modes as "Survival" and "Time," or trade their cards and decks. Taking place through a wireless connection, players set up their characters on a 5x4 grid located on the screen. Each character takes up a set amount of room. For example, support avatars take up two to three spaces while battle characters take up four squares. When set-up is complete, the action plays out on the DS' upper screen. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

“Though a bit pointless now due to Ultimate Stars, this was an epic game at its release and prompted me into checking out a lot of new anime. Like the sequel, this game features Smash Bros. style combat with a bunch of manga characters that fit into combat (playable), support (Think assist trophies from Brawl), and helper classes (Which have miscellaneous, useful effects on your party). The character selection is a bit basic though, which would be fixed in Ultimate Stars. (owned and completed. Accurate rating is 8.00) ”

“The Smash bros. of the DS, with amazing characters with their traditional moves from their popular franchises, too bad it will never see America, cause of Licenses.”
