DESCRIPTION
Though the characters aren't quite as detailed as those in the original game, Joust for the Atari 7800 is an excellent arcade adaptation. The game includes most of the details, such as the Troll Monster's hand that snags you out of the air when you get too close to the Lava Pit, and the motorcycle-like roar of the enemies commencing to attack. The game's biggest drawback is the wear and tear on the thumb from keeping the ostrich in flight via the side button of the 7800 joystick, though replacing the controller with an Atari VCS joystick does help somewhat in this regard. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
