DESCRIPTION
In the 19th century, Jules Verne first offered us the imaginative notion of exploring the center of the earth with his novel titled Journey to the Center of the Earth. Subterranean geological wonders come to life in the literary version, and in the PC version developed by Frogwares Game Development Studio.
Players assume the role of Ariane, a young journalist and photographer who falls hundreds of meters below the Earth's surface while out on assignment capturing the rugged Icelandic landscape on film. When she awakens on a subterranean beach, she discovers that she is immersed in a bizarre landscape surrounded by a host of unusual objects. As Ariane, players now have the chance of a lifetime as a journalist to capture this most unusual world on film and in words.
However, the future of this world is in jeopardy. Players will have more than 100 puzzles to solve through six levels of play while trying to find their way back. Along the way, there are over 300 views of the lost world, and more than 30 cinematic cut-scenes. It is up to Ariane to make the right choices in order to find her way back, bringing with her the scoop of a lifetime, but also to save this primitive world. ~ Damian Francis, All Game Guide
