DESCRIPTION

Like the original Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, the Escalation expansion pack is notable for its large-scale multiplayer capabilities, which are designed to support as many as 150 players at once on certain maps. The expansion moves the first-person, squad-based warfare from Indonesia to South East Asia, where new challenges await. Choppers and tanks are available for use here, along with mobile Surface to Air Missile (SAM) launchers and even dirt bikes. New weapons and defensive equipment also become available. More than two dozen new maps are featured in the expansion, including cooperative and training missions. Escalation was built on NovaLogic's Black Hawk game engine, and requires an installation of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising for play. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
