Joe Montana II Sports Talk Football breaks new ground with its use of digitized speech and is the first videogame to feature continuous play-by-play commentary of the action happening on the football field. The game features teams from NFL cities, but does not have an actual NFL license, so there are no authentic logos, uniforms, or players included.

Gameplay takes place on a horizontally scrolling field with small players. When a player receives the ball, the action zooms in for a more detailed view. There are several options to configure, such as weather, penalties and game times, and a Dream Team mode in which you can create your own team. You can challenge the computer or a friend in a single Exhibition match or 16-game League play. You can also team up with a friend and take on the computer.

Other features include passwords for saving progress, more than 50 plays, grass and artificial turf fields, audibles, a Kick Meter, three difficulty levels and instant replay. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
