DESCRIPTION
A good idea gone bad, Jinks takes the basic ball/paddle/brick concept pioneered by such games as Breakout and Arkanoid and adds a horizontally scrolling screen, freer paddle movement (all over the screen) and a triangular paddle that players can invert as needed. Other additions to the formula include jaws that gobble up the ball, objects that destroy the paddle, and the player's ability to shake the screen to free the ball from a repetitious cycle. Unfortunately, the sound effects are primitive, the graphics are simplistic, paddle movement is sluggish, the ball moves lackadaisically, and gameplay is dull and way too easy. "Junks" would be more appropriate. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
