DESCRIPTION
Players take the role of the darker, grittier James Bond in Quantum of Solace, the first 007 game from publisher Activision. Following Daniel Craig's portrayal of a violent, driven Bond, the young MI6 agent's methods may be messy, but he is ultimately effective. Gameplay features plenty of gun-fighting and hand-to-hand combat, as well as surveillance and stealth sequences. The game is built on Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4 game engine, and features similar graphical quality, third-person cut-aways, and lively enemy AI.
The setting and story of Quantum of Solace are based directly on the movies, both Casino Royale and its sequel, which shares the game's title and autumn 2008 release. Developers re-created locations from both films, based on thousands of photos. All main characters have the likenesses and voices of their cinematic counterparts, including Craig as Bond and Olga Kurylenko as Camille, plus Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench, Eva Green, and Mads Mikkelsen in their respective roles.
The Xbox 360 edition of the game displays high-definition graphics, with cut-scenes that blur the line between conventional cinema and computer animation. Xbox Live subscribers can join online multiplayer games, in a variety of modes, for as many as 12 players. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

“Bond is back in yet another adventure and while it's not as polished or in depth as some of the other entries in the Bond franchise Quantum of Solace is still a fun distraction.”

“It's been a while since I've played a Bond game and I really enjoyed this one. I like the stealth elements and the strategically designed environments. Playing as Bond was a lot of fun. I would like to have seen more 'gadgets', but the new Bond movies are going more 'serious' and less 'campy', so I was fine with the limited gadget usage.
Multiplayer is fun. I haven't yet played all the modes, but I've liked the ones I have played. I just wish I could earn credits a little faster to try and earn the various weapons/add-ons/gadgets.
Overall, this is a lot of fun. I enjoyed the story play and still have fun with multiplayer.”

“Honestly, wasn't too thrilled with this one. Played it to completion, and I have to say the only thing that kept me playing was the fact that I knew I wasn't too far from finishing it. The graphics, sound, cover system, and overall mechanics were okay, and I liked the fact that it wasn't an FPS. Everything or Nothing, for me, is the gold standard of Bond games (not counting GoldenEye, which is more like a genre unto itself), and it was nice to see that they kept the third-person perspective for most of the game. The narrative, however, I had a tough time following. Things were happening out of order, jumping around in a timeline that didn't really make sense, even though you know it's basically a re-hash. It felt like a convenient way to drop the player into the settings, but it didn't ever give the feel of achievement that comes from making progress in the story. You know it's gonna more on anyways. Certainly not the best Bond game I played, but it was playable, fairly competent, and despite some annoying sequences, it didn't feel as trashy as most movie games.”

“Whew, finally beat it. Not that great a game, but now I've officially beaten all of the James Bond games. 'Cause that's not dorky. Got kinda confused towards the end, forgetting that I was...”

“Quantum of Solace is as simple of a FPS you will find but that is not a bad thing. Even tho Quantum doesnt have all the glits and glam of some of the more mainstream games it does FPS very well its one of the few games that acually uses a cover system well. Now dont get me wrong Quantum has flaws like graphics are not the best and gun selection our limited but it does use perks which makes the limited gun selection feel more robust. Basically if your looking for a cheap FPS that is fun and has a addictive VS mode then this is the game for you.”
