DESCRIPTION

While Iron Man is a classic character created by Marvel Comics in the late 1960s, X-O Manowar is not classic by any means. He is a character created by Valiant in 1992. The combination may seem strange, but take into account that Acclaim later purchased Valiant, giving them rights to the X-O Manowar character. Both characters can fire weapons, Iron Man with the weapons built into his suit of armor and X-O Manowar with his alien-based weapons that are a part of his symbiotic suit of armor. Also, both characters have the ability to fly.

The story of the game, also featured in a two part comic book mini series, contains a basic good versus evil plot. Play as the good guys and save the world from possible destruction at the hands of Baron Zemo and Mistress Crescendo. Iron Man/X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal features more than 30 levels of side-scrolling action. Players can choose to play as either character.
