Hampered by a restrictive side-view perspective, which eliminates lateral movement, Hyper V-Ball offers a futuristic version of the sport in addition to standard (if oversimplified) volleyball action. In future mode, players (which are small, but fairly well animated) are outfitted in hyper-suits and are capable of a variety of outlandish moves, such as the Tornado Serve and the Hurricane Spike.
