In Hopper, you must help Chadly the Kangaroo escape danger and captivity. Surrounded by crates in the cargo hold of an ocean freighter, Chadly is desperately trying to evade capture by three abusive circus trainers: Rocko, Socko and Jocko. Ironically, the only way the kangaroo can ward off his would-be captors is to trap them or crush them with the crates.
Chadly begins the game in the center of the maze-like playfield. As the circus trainers search the cargo hold for their prey, you must move the kangaroo around the crates to avoid making contact with the enemies. To destroy a circus trainer, simply kick a crate into him, or try the trickier method of blocking him in on all sides. You get extra points for trapping a trainer in one crate-sized space or for trapping more than one trainer in the same space.
When you have eliminated all three enemies, a flashing screen signals the return of the missing crates and the appearance of three new circus trainers. As you progress through the game's 10 levels of play, the enemies increase in speed and intensify their search. In level 10, the crates are invisible! ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
