DESCRIPTION
It's time to bring the hammer of justice down on greedy corporate crooks and other bad guys in Hammerin' Hero, an anime-influenced side-scrolling combat game brought Stateside by Japanese import specialist Atlus. Player's control Gen, the hammerin' hero himself, through 12 themed levels, including city streets, an amusement park, and a TV studio. As he pounds his way through the different stages, Gen takes on new jobs, such as a baseball player at the stadium or a diver underwater, gaining access to new outfits and new hammerin' implements, such as a baseball bat or an anchor. Skilled play through the game's levels unlocks new items and additional playable characters. Two PSP players can side-scroll side by side, in the game's competitive Ad hoc multiplayer mode. ~ T.J. “Great game. Its a wacky ride. It has afamiliar structure with levels and boss battles, but the ride is full of unexpected comedic turns. The humor is great. Good charchters with voices. Game play is mostly about timing, a little bit of jumping/platforming, a lot of 1 or 2 hit ememies, and 2D beat-em-up stuff. It can be pretty challenging.”
