DESCRIPTION
Billed as the "Presidential Party Game," Hail to the Chimp features a colorful cast of ten candidates that include an armadillo, octopus, hippo, walrus, polar bear, and of course, a chimp. Instead of giving speeches and campaigning on issues, these howling hopefuls settle their differences through direct competition. Up to four characters battle on an assortment of themed maps, each featuring hazards to avoid and traps to spring on unsuspecting foes. Two candidates can even form a temporary coalition and unleash special team-up moves to stymie their rivals. The goal in each map is to complete specific objectives within a time limit. Tasks range from collecting clams to bashing voting machines, with characters able to make others cough up collectibles by kicking or punching them. Game types in this budget-priced release include Vs. Mode and Career. Hail to the Chimp is hosted by anchor "Woodchuck Chumley" of GRR News, who reports on the animal kingdom and daily events with a satirical style. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
