DESCRIPTION
The star of H.E.R.O. is Roderick Hero, the leader of the Helicopter Emergency Rescue Operation. You must guide Roderick through a series of mine shafts to rescue the miners trapped inside. Each level consists of one mine shaft containing one trapped miner.
Lurking in each mine are several types of dangerous creatures, such as spiders, bats and giant moths, that will take away a life away if you touch them. But our hero has invented a microlaser built into his helmet that can be used to stun the animals. And to top things off, Roderick has made a back-mounted propeller that he can use to move himself from level to level of the mine. Using the laser or the propeller depletes energy from your limited reserves, but rescuing a miner replenishes your energy. In order to get to the miners, you will have to blow up various obstacles blocking your path; to allow you to do this, you are armed with five sticks of dynamite. Light the explosive and quickly run away before it blows up in your face. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
