DESCRIPTION
Based on the Konami Arcade game, Gyruss for the ColecoVision has you flying an alien spaceship in a circular pattern, shooting everything in sight while trying to make it from outer Neptune to Earth. While you are on your mission, waves of missile-firing enemy planes come at you from the center of the screen or surprise you from off screen. Also cluttering the field of play are satellites and meteors. The meteors are indestructible, but you can destroy the satellites in order to give yourself double-fire power. Each time you reach a planet, you get to play a chance stage which lets you shoot planes without facing enemy fire.
In case you have forgotten everything you learned in your grade school science classes, the planets you will encounter in your journey appear in this order: Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Earth. When you make it to Earth, you start over again at Neptune. The game ends only when you run out of ships. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
